Atelier BIC MissionThe mission of the Atelier BIC is to elevate drawing-based art skills regardless of the medium. The Atelier BIC promotes the discipline of accurate drawing to improve one's visual vocabulary and enable proficiency with pencils and charcoal to sketch, brushes to paint, or bare hands to sculpt. The Atelier BIC provides more than a place or space for artist. Moreover, Atelier BIC cultivates a state of conscienceness where excellence in drawing can be pursued and executed.
The Atelier BIC welcomes all who are open and willing to strive beyond the status quo in Art. Emerging apprentice of all ages, skill levels, and backgrounds will benefit from Atelier BIC sessions. The Atelier serves as a workshop, studio, salon gallery, and conduit for real Art through direct observation from life and corrective rendering. Artists will be encouraged to pace themselves with extended drawing exercises that will refine substantive and accurate draftsmanship. Members, students, and benefactors will be expected to recognize and value artistic standards based in fundamental, time-honored traditional art.
